The Country Inn & Suites Columbus North receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising the friendly staff, convenient location, and comfortable rooms, particularly mentioning the helpfulness of staff member ‘Zy’ and ‘Kitty’. However, recurring concerns involve cleanliness issues, including mold, mildew, and unpleasant odors, as well as functional problems with amenities like microwaves and hot water.
Stayed not too long ago here while we were in town for a few days, Super friendly staff the blonde one was very hospitable and the man that makes the breakfast was very polite as well. Our room was clean & comfortable pretty good prices
Let me start off saying the staff was very nice in accommodating me another room after my first room bathroom tub had a slow drainage and then some one had left a used razor on the bathtub n I noticed that they don’t dust very well hair was under the telephone n I seen dust on the lamps n floor no.2 room toilet seat was so loose that I couldn’t seat on it I did report it When I went out that night a bunch of motorcycles were parked right at the entrance of the door if I had luggage it would’ve been hard to maneuver to get n out When I checked out the next morning I seen that the bikes were still there I think that management should have asked the owner to move I did enjoy the breakfast n the bed was comfortable
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel starting from March 19-23. From the minute I walked in, the hotel was clean and inviting. The woman who attended the front desk by the name of Kitty was extremely accommodating. She immediately welcomed me in and asked if I had ever been to Columbus, Georgia (I hadn’t). I was then given a useful guide of the city. The hotel itself is located very nicely. It’s 5 minutes from everything that you would need— gas station, Walmart, Publix, the strip mall, and more. The rooms at the hotel are very clean and the showers are nice. WiFi is strong. The breakfast was good— eggs, bacon, waffles, yogurt, cereal, fruit, oatmeal, muffins, bagels, coffee, juice, etc. My stay each night was 73 total with taxes through hotels.com which was a very good rate. I came at the time in which there are a lot of graduations and the rooms fill up quickly. Overall, the hotel was very pleasant and the staff are all very accommodating. I’m going to book again when I come back in May. Thank you!!
This location is on the outskirts of Columbus. It is very quiet and I loved it… I was in town visiting a friend and I think the young lady name was zi that kicked me in. She had glasses. Very pretty young lady. I didn’t have any issues with my room . she was very welcoming. And With how things are going in the world nowadays it is hard coming across good customer service and people actually wanting to do their job. She was attentive And the gentleman that works in the breakfast room was great. I would recommend this hotel
Me and my boyfriend came down for the concert this weekend. Zy Checked us in and out. She was very sweet and amazing. My parents also stayed here and said that they liked her and she checked them in previously. She provided us with recommendations on where to eat and it was great
The microwave in the room had a missing knob along with a different color knob on the microwave. The hot water didn’t work every day in the shower. The sink in the bathroom was stopped up and the treadmills in the gym did not work and it was two of them. not a good experience
I'm a travel nurse that works 12 hr. shifts at night so finding a hotel that let's me check in after I get off work at 7am is really hard to find! Most places charge u for two nights which is unfair! Mrs. Kitty worked with me and allowed me to check in at 7am after I got off, sleep until 6pm and check out, it was perfect. I was only charged for one day, which is how it should be but most hotels were unwilling to offer! Thank u so much! I will be back!
Have stayed here multiple times in the past but never again. Stopped here while traveling for our yearly Florida trip only to rudely be told she can’t give us a room because they’re doing their nightly audit. I asked if she knew if she had any rooms and she said I don’t know. I asked how long before she would know and she said at least an hour. The whole time she seemed she didn’t want us to be there so she could go back to just sitting in her little room. Horrible customer service! We drove to the Comfort Inn in Eufala where the front desk clerk was very friendly and happy to do her job unlike the clerk at this Country Inn. I asked the clerk at Comfort Inn how long it takes to do a nightly audit at hotels and she said 10 mins at most which confirms that the clerk at Country Inn just didn’t want to do her job which is unacceptable!
EVERYTHING smells like mold or mildew. The smell in the room doesn’t go away. The sheets on the bed felt damp and smelled horrible. There doesn’t seem to be central AC and the window units can’t keep up with the humidity. Towels smelled like awful like mildew and had stains on them. The bathroom was rusty. I had a runny nose and stomach pain for two weeks after staying here as a result of breathing in mold for 2 nights. If you value your health, find somewhere else to stay.
We come every year and this place is always super quiet. Zyyvhas been the one to check us in for the past 2 years and she’s so friendly and attentive. We did have a minor issue with the room, but she immediately switched us and the stay was great. She also gives great recommendations on restaurants in the area. We will be coming back again later this year and hopefully to see her again
