Hotel Indigo Columbus at Riverfront Place consistently receives positive feedback for its excellent location, beautiful river views, and friendly staff. However, recent reviews highlight concerns regarding cleanliness issues, particularly with room maintenance and persistent hair in carpets, alongside sporadic service problems like delayed room service and issues with valet parking. Despite these drawbacks, many guests appreciate the hotel's overall ambiance and convenient downtown location.
Lovely hotel in a delightful part of town! We had the pleasure of staying there twice on the way to and from our vacation destination. Alex at the front desk was so kind and helpful to us! And Angela at the breakfast restaurant was like a ray of sunshine both times I ate there! Both Alex and Angela remembered me and that was really special. What excellent customer service! Thank you, Alex and Angela, and the Hotel Indigo Columbus staff! Hope to see you next year!
Super nice hotel! Fantastic location and views. Excellent service! We did not eat in the hotel, but the food smelled great the black bathroom was extra nice, and spotless clean. Highly recommend staying here if you’re anywhere near Columbus.
The indigo is always a nice place to stay. A top quality hotel. The staff be they just bit into a lemon sometimes ?. We needed a extra trash bag and theyre was a young guy available at the entrance, he was nice and professional. The room views are so awesome. Our coffee machine didnt work. But the hotel is nice. The Bathrooms are beautiful!!!!
My girlfriend's son is a Ranger and referred me to this hotel. First off, the staff were all very friendly and the location was perfect! These were the huge negatives for me: As a new IHG member I was truly disappointed. When I checked in my room it wasn't very clean. The floors looked like they had never been vacuumed. Tons of hair and especially in the weaved rug. I did take tissue and picked up some, but decided to tell the front desk. It took a while,(6:30) but they eventually sent someone up They mopped but still never vacuumed and all the same nasty hair was just mopped around and still there. I didn't remove my shoes the whole time. Again, truly disappointing for the money spent there. On top of that...my toilet would not flush and kept plugging...ugh. I decided to make do and at one point use the public restrooms. Since I was checking out the next morning and exhausted, I didn't bother to once again tell the front desk until the next morning...which was my own fault. I paid over 450.00 for one night in that riverfront room. Definitely not worth that! Very sad about the whole experience. I may give it another try at some point due to my son being in the army, but not sure at this time.I moved back to the Holiday Inn Abrams Hall on Fort Benning. This hotel is also owned by IHG and was absolutely immaculate! Not the same amenities but a great nights sleep and CLEAN. So worth it and half the price. Most hotels ask for your feedback upon departure but Hotel Indigo didn't, I'm guessing they don't want to know. Please do better.
Wow so very nice, next to the river. We didn't stay here just had lunch. Inside and outside seating by the river. Great choices of foods and drinks. Beautiful dining room, quite and prices are reasonable. Our waitress took excellent care of us, checking on us several times. Served our drinks and refills. Food served hot from the kitchen... each plate was a work of art done by a wonderful chef. This was a family luncheon after a graduation of our nephew. Everyone enjoyed our lunch and fellowship afterwards. We felt comfortable eating and fellowshiping without having to rush out when finishing. Thanks for serving us so well. Hopefully we can return again soon.
Called for a mobility accessible king room. They had it for my dates and at a good rate and I was ready to book. I asked if it was river facing, 30 secs later she said no and I immediately replied that's fine, complete the booking, and she said oh your mobility accessible king has been sold to someone else and there are no king accessible rooms, then tried to upsell me. It is bad service to allow rooms to be taken from someone who is actively in the middle of booking it live with an agent and only asking an informational question about it.
we stayed here for one night wasn’t bad at all. Everything was very clean. The only thing that in the room, there was a problem with the shower door. It wouldn’t close all the way and it felt like it was gonna fall on you if you moved it besides that and the parking you had to walk half a block, which was not convenient, but you can appreciate the distance if you like long walks.
Beautiful hotel in downtown Columbus. Very nice rooftop and clean rooms. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired. Particularly, Shannon Gomez in the event management department is extremely disorganized, slow to respond to emails/phone calls (weeks to hear back), and extraordinarily rude to customers of the hotel trying to book 100+ person events that bring revenue to the town and hotel. I was told that my event "was not a priority" for Shannon and therefore, it took weeks to set up. It's unfortunate to have someone who lacks empathy and passion for customer service in Indigo's sales department. Behaving in such an unprofessional manner - word does get around and private events will go elsewhere.
“THE BEST “ Hotel to stay in . Everything was Great from Location to the service and rooms we had. Rooftop bar was a Plus. Food ?? and drinks A+ must try the river breeze .honestly makes you never want to leave the premises. My waitress at breakfast was Dominique was just Amazing . I was not feeling too well and she went above and beyond . she just makes you want to give her a Big hug. Definitely will come back to stay there . Thank you for making our stay so pleasant ??
An Incredible Stay for My Daughter’s Birthday! We had an amazing experience at Hotel Indigo Columbus GA Riverfront. From the moment we checked in, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special—especially for my 10-year-old daughter’s birthday. They created such a memorable experience for her, and she felt truly celebrated the entire time. The property itself is beautiful, clean, and perfectly located on the riverfront. Every interaction we had with the team was warm, professional, and welcoming. It’s clear they take great pride in creating a great guest experience. Thank you to everyone at Hotel Indigo Columbus for making our trip unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back!
