Guests praise the hotel's convenient location, wide selection of nearby food options, and friendly front desk staff. However, recent reviews reveal serious concerns regarding hygiene, maintenance issues like broken showers and elevators, and inconsistent management responses to complaints.
Staff was friendly and kind. Overnight shift are amazing. But the room was kinda disappointing. It had a funky smell when I checked in. The shower wall had some yellow stains, the shower head had hard water stains, a lot of woman's hair on the carpet had to change socks. Overall the room was eh. As someone who is in the world of hospitality in the hotel industry. I'm happy to say the staff was amazing. The rooms do need some work. But it's a great location to walking distance to get food, reason why I booked the hotel.
No hot water all morning. Manager not available to help. We had to take cold showers. Older and out of date for a Hyatt Place; carpeted floors; bright white LED lights, small bathtub; no large shower with sliding doors. Feels more like a Country Inn and Suites than a Hyatt.
Great service from the front desk. Jasmine checked us in, entertained us at the bar, and shared helpful information about the local area. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, as some of the eggs appeared to be frozen.
Wonderful location staff friendly gets a little loud through Thursday and Saturday night do to Texas Roadhouse being next door but still wasn't a problem for us but for other's it might be we were on the 4th floor last room on the right after taking a left off the elevator the housekeeper was wonderful at her job we stayed here from Nov 10th - Nov 21st for work and YouTube content
Stay away! Bed bugs found in room 403 before checking out Sunday morning. Staff confirmed their presence and said they'd tell the manager, Stephanie, who'd call me back that day. She never did. I had to call when I got home Monday morning and she claimed she wasn't informed. She said they'd have an inspection done and she'd call me back either way within 48 hours. It's been a week and she won't return my call.
We stayed here for our son's graduation at Fort Benning and were very happy. The hotel is nice and the staff is very kind and friendly. The hotel is very nicely located with lots of close food options and serves a great continental breakfast.
Santana was very helpful and a delight to talk to in the midst of a tech error. I stay at this location once/twice annually and not once has something been wrong. Clean, great location with lots to do, and has breakfast. Love ?
I looked for this hotel because I wanted to be with my family in a clean, quiet place, and at the Hyatt Place Columbus North, I found everything I needed. The pillows and bed were soft, the bathroom was clean, and the water was the perfect temperature. The hallway and elevator were odorless; it was perfect. Breakfast was included in the room rate and included hot eggs, pancakes, and oatmeal. There were several food options. The pool was small, as was the gym, but it was a good option for a short stay. In my case, I came for a swimming competition with my children, and we had a great time. The hotel staff also treated us well.
I booked Hyatt Place through Hotels.com because it was listed as pet-friendly. I brought my ferrets, unaware that the hotel only accepts dogs. Without prior warning, I was kicked out. To make matters worse, I reported seeing a bedbug in Room 218. I was staying in 219 and checking out, but my family in Room 217 was planning to stay longer. Instead of addressing the concern professionally, the hotel kicked them out too — simply because I mentioned the bedbug. This was supposed to be a stress-free stay for a wedding, but the hotel’s response caused unnecessary chaos. Their poor communication and retaliatory behavior were completely uncalled for. I won’t be staying here again, and I urge others to double-check policies directly with the hotel before booking.
Rooms was standard. Front desk service was courteous and helpful. Zero service stars is for the manager who was terrible - unresponsive, unaccountable, and unsympathetic. See additional notes below. Location was fine. It was 20 minutes to downtown Columbus and 40 minutes to Callaway Gardens.
