The Quality Inn Fort Benning receives mixed reviews, with significant concerns regarding cleanliness, staff demeanor, and operational issues like delayed room readiness and reservation problems. While some guests appreciated the comfortable beds and convenient location, frequent issues with cleanliness, smoking rooms, and inconsistent service deter potential guests. There appears to be a pattern of issues related to check-in processes and communication regarding deposits and room access.
It had cockroaches no running water in the bathroom showers were cold. No washing machine and dryer like they said there was.
The older woman in the morning for breakfast was super sweet and the waffle maker was awesome for breakfast. However the afternoon staff was extremely rude. The bigger one with short braids/dreads yelled at someone on the phone and said she “cancelled the reservation free of charge, why more does she want from her” and when she got off the phone she rolled her eyes and the other receptionist told her she should have given a fake name. Check-in was at 4 it was 4:10 before we had a room and others were checked in before us even though we were sitting there waiting. The rooms were dirty, if you take a wet rag and wipe a small spot it will come up black, the sheets were not changed they were wrinkles, there was a dead bug in the AC, there was grass in them and the bath mat was moldy. People are constantly smoking week on the stairway so the smell will be pulled into your room. If there is availability elsewhere take it.
I have been a Choice Diamond member since 2009. I have been to every state multiple times with thousands of stays. It NEVER FAILS at this location that even if you call, your room will never be ready until 4 on the dot. It's the only choice hotel that is as late as this. It's ridiculous. With 4 cars in the lot, you're telling me that there's not rooms that could be checked into? Every front desk clerk but 1 that I've encountered has just a terrible attitude. It's absolutely ridiculous. We were slated to have 15 rooms her for 3 months. That's DEFINITELY not happening now. The only thing this can be attributed to is laziness. I can't believe Choice allows this to happen. I'm warning you, find another place to stay!
From the outside, it's certainly nothing special and you might even question your choice of going there. But for the budget traveler, the rooms are more than adequate. The room we stayed in was clean and fresh and appeared to have been renovated not that long ago. Breakfast is certainly nothing special with only the very basic oatmeal called cereal, juice and pastries available. In our experience this is a better choice than the very similar and same priced hotel just across the street.
The beds were nice it was decent for the price could have used a little bit more tissue and toilet paper but otherwise it was good I only stayed there for the night and I had my mother with me and even she was comfortable
Room was a smoking room so it smelled like stale smoke, but it was comfortable. The pillows need to be replaced and more than 2 towel sets should be placed in the rooms. Pool was nice, also continental breakfast was served. Coffee in single serve packs and was awful.
Pretty dingy of a place. Hotel would not accept my third party booking even though I called to ensure it was alright and even asked about late check in. I get to the hotel and they made me pay in full a second time. No amount of explaining what was going on would work. The stay was abysmal, the room smelled a little strange and the bathroom was not clean. The guy at the front desk wasnt very friendly. I did get a refund about two weeks later but there was no follow up email or anything of the sort to let me know what had taken place. Will not be staying there again.
Stay somewhere else! I want to start this review off with something good. The hotel looks rough from the outside, however the inside was very nice and the rooms were clean and free of bugs. We booked this room for Thursday 6/12 to Sunday 6/15. We don’t smoke inside our house so I am not sure why I booked a smoking room. We stayed on the even side near highway 185. The highway noise was HORRIBLE. It was so loud we had to buy a fan to drown out some of the noise. Saturday night around 10:30 pm while playing cards with our kids, and son who had just had his green ceremony for the army, our room filled with the smell of marijuana. It was so strong it took all of our breath away. I immediately called the office asking for a new room or a refund for that night. I was met with a very rude front desk lady who laughed at me, mocked me, and said they didn’t have any other rooms and there was no way I was getting any money back. My husband went to the front office and we were moved to the odd side of the building. The pool is only open from 12pm-9pm. The pool will NOT open until the maintenance guy has checked the chlorine levels. Friday the 13th my two kids and myself were unable to get into the pool until 3pm. You have to have a pool pass and some staff only want to give out 4 passes per room. The maintenance guy decided it was the perfect time to leaf blow around the whole pool after my family got in it Saturday. Their hot breakfast consists of two waffle makers, activia yogurt, very strong coffe, cereal, cold biscuits and bread, fresh apples once. Not all of the staff was bad. We reported our air conditioner leaking all over the floor in our room Saturday morning on 6/14. We got an apology and no one ever came to check it. They want to give you one toilet paper roll at a time for 4 guests, so bring your own.
We stayed for one night. The room was clean it smelled clean not a hair on the floor. The bathroom had little soaps and shampoo things. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were white and clean. The place is a bit dated but they did a great job with what they had. When we checked out the man behind the counter was friendly and warm. When we got to our car he was standing at the door of the hotel waiving goodbye!! All those things together made our stay there very enjoyable! Loved it!!
I was recently there with my 5-year-old autistic son for my husband's turning green, the front desk workers were super friendly and very helpful. Room 219 was in incredible shape, very clean. It was very quiet. I would definitely stay here again.
