I recently stayed at the Residence Inn in Columbus, Georgia. The room itself was clean and well maintained, which I appreciated. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating, making check-in and any questions easy and pleasant. Unfortunately, the hotel was very noisy during our stay. We could clearly hear other guests using their showers, and our door would continuously rattle when other doors on the floor were closed. We could also hear people in the hallways, which made it difficult to relax or sleep. As a loyal Marriott customer, this experience was disappointing. The overall atmosphere felt a bit sketchy at times, particularly due to some questionable activity in the rear parking lot where we initially parked, which ultimately caused us to move our car. While the staff and cleanliness were positives, I would not recommend this location based on my experience.

I travel 80 nights a year & this is where I stay when in Columbus, GA. It's not new but the price is reasonable, rooms are spacious & clean, people are genuinely nice, and plenty of dining & shopping within a mile. I once stayed at a similar property nearby and it was rough.
I had such a great stay at the Residence Inn by Marriott Columbus! The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable, but what really made the difference was the staff. Shannon, Ava, and Melissa were amazing—so friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They went above and beyond, especially when helping arrange a room for my son, who is active duty Army, and needed a place to stay for a couple of nights. Their kindness and effort meant so much, and I truly appreciate it. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Columbus! It’s not often you find a place where the team makes you feel right at home, but that’s exactly what I experienced here. I’ll definitely stay again next time I’m in Columbus!
The scent they use is very strong in the lobby and in the room. The location was great for our visit to Ft Benning.

THE MANAGER MELISSA HOMUTH HELPED ME WITH THE MIX UP WITH MY ROOM,SHE ALSO DISCOUNTED ME A NEW RATE BECAUSE OF THE MIX UP,THE STAFF HERE IS VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY AND ROOMS ARE NICE AND CLEAN....THIS IS THE ONLY HOTEL THAT I WOULD RECOMMEND AND STAY IN IN COLUMBUS GEORGIA.MELISSA HOMUTH YOU AND YOUR STAFF ARE THE BEST!!!!!??
I spent 2 weeks at this hotel in January 2025. This hotel looks remodeled with dark rooms and overall poor management. Upon checking in, I found a dirty towel hanging on the dirty shower curtain in the bathroom ( bathroom room was clearly not cleaned after the last guest). This hotel also provides room service 1 day each week and roaches ? will make nightly appearances on the kitchen counters and floor. I made multiple requests for room service and was told they don’t have adequate house keeping staff. The breakfast is off course very unappealing. The location is great and I was hoping to stay at this hotel much longer as it’s one of two Marriott pet friendly hotels in the area. The nightly?and one day a week room cleaning is completely unacceptable. This hotel needs new management asap, wasted potential.
The staff at the front desk had a wonderful attitude and always willing to help. But... first room I got was not ready and dirty. The bed was not made, like if someone just woke up from there. Requested another room and it was more dirty than the first one. There were hairs and food crumbles in the floor. The floor was not swept nor mopped (loocked like months of no cleaning). I requested another room and same story. It was late already and needed a place to stay. It seems that the cleaning is not supervised. The bedsheets had some stains. I requested new sheets but never got them. Finally the third day someone came to sweep and mop the floor. But, it feels like they do not want to clean your room.
*Constant loud rumbling from air conditioner system in a closet. *Toilet was overflowed when we checked in *Walls are ridiculously thin. I heard the neighbor snoring! *Above the kitchen was a loud tapping, almost like the pipes were dripping rocks! *The bed was not comfortable and smelled. *We hear all the traffic. I mean .ALLLLLL! So, no.... not a great experience! + Positive *a phone next to the toilet
