The Hilton Garden Inn Columbus receives mixed reviews, with some praising its location near Bradley Lake and friendly staff, while others express significant concerns about room cleanliness, outdated amenities, and inconsistent service. Recent reviews highlight issues with room conditions, including rusted tubs, lack of cleanliness, and cold pool temperatures, alongside positive feedback regarding the restaurant and helpful staff.
The only reason I did not give it 5 starts is that the indoor pool is not heated. I did not go into the exercise room to see if the equipment was fixed after my last visit so I can't report on that. The room is lively and comfortable. You can order your breakfast from the room but have to go downstairs to get it. Quiet location. I would stay here again.
I would like to sincerely thank Supervisor Nicole Tillson for her outstanding support. She helped us with every issue we encountered and handled everything with professionalism and calmness. We truly appreciate her help and positive energy.
I was very disappointed with my stay. From the moment I walked in, there was an unpleasant smell in the lobby. I tried to overlook it, but the issues continued. The front desk clerk was adequate, but the manager’s attitude was unwelcoming and even rude—she seemed upset and did not speak to guests, including myself. The food is overpriced and does not taste good. Paying nearly $200 per night and still having to pay for breakfast is unreasonable. I often stay at the Hyatt when visiting Columbus, which includes breakfast, but they were fully booked during this trip. Overall, the value does not justify the cost, and I will not be staying here again. I also strongly suggest that Hilton address the management issues at this property. I will contact GoHiton with my complaint.
I was supposed to stay here 4 nights; I left after one. Room bathtub was rusted and stained, looked like someone tried to sand it down. Bed was very lumpy. Both dinner and breakfast restaurants were aweful---workers not around the once they do show up they are basically out of everything. Once I finally got my breakfast, half of it was missing because even though the menu says it comes with the meal, I didn't ask for it. Oh, and by the way, they were out of all but the white bread option for sides. The diamond food allowance benefit is only $10 and they charge $4 for things like sodas.
Our stay was short , room was neat. The property is right next to Bradley Lake, it has a great view. If you’re visiting Columbus this is a a cool place to stay.. wish they had all day coffee/ hot water station for guests.
I am writing to express my deep disappointment with our recent three-night stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. Unfortunately, our experience was far below the standard we expect from Hilton properties, especially considering I am a Diamond Member and we stay in Hilton hotels frequently. During our stay, our room was not cleaned a single time, despite us requesting housekeeping twice. When we arrived, there were only two towels in the room, even though we are a family of five. I went downstairs to request additional towels, but I was told there were no clean towels available. I asked again on the second day and was given the same response. As a result, our family had to share two towels for the entire stay, which is completely unacceptable. On the second night, our daughter became sick in the bed. We informed the front desk and requested that housekeeping clean the room the following morning. Even after explaining the situation, our room was still not cleaned, and we were left to deal with the mess on our own. Additionally, the shower was noticeably dirty when we first arrived, which gave us an immediate negative impression before the other issues even began. We have always trusted the Hilton brand because of its consistency, cleanliness, and customer service, but this experience was by far one of the worst we have ever had. This stay did not meet the basic expectations of comfort, cleanliness, or hospitality.
A clean, welcoming place to stay. We ate at the restaurant on site, I had a ribeye steak and fries, wife had a Salad. Food came out hot and tasty. Breakfast was great, the kitchen made me an omelet with home fries. Well done. We will come visit again!
The entire staff was amazing. We were a large group renting 4 rooms and they were great with everything. They even stored a cake in the bar fridge to keep it stored for a surprise for a recent soldier graduation from the Army. Special call out to Ismail and the lady he was working (can't remember her name... sorry) they kept the system open until 2am since the flights were delayed. Thank you guys so much.
I checked in last night and want to give a big shoutout to the young lady at the front desk — I believe her name was Nicole (apologies if I got that wrong). She was extremely welcoming, vibrant, and energetic, which made for a great first impression. While my personal stay has been pleasant, I did recommend this hotel to a friend who unfortunately had an emergency shortly after booking. Their reservation had only been made for about 45 minutes before plans had to change, but when they reached out, the Assistant General Manager was not accommodating in the slightest. I fully understand that policies and procedures must be followed, but it’s not always what you say — it’s how you say it. The tone used came across as harsh, cold, and frankly disrespectful. It’s disappointing, as I was genuinely excited to recommend this property to my team of 20+ colleagues who will be traveling here soon. However, after this experience, we’ll be making alternative arrangements elsewhere
I really wanted to enjoy my stay here at Hilton Gardens in Columbus, the hotel room is pretty nice, but if you sleep in one part of the room closest to the window, the vent from the HVAC blows right on your head all night long. There was no way to adjust the vent. This is in the room that has the pullout couch and the king size bed. The breakfast is terrible for such a high-end hotel and should totally be re-thought out by this hotel chain owner. Even if they have a buffet and they want to charge you, it would be better than the à la carte offerings that is there. The staff also needs to be updated on cordiality, there really wasn’t much interaction from staff. All in all we find that Hilton’s don’t necessarily have consistency amongst their chain like Marriott’s have.
