The Super 8 by Wyndham Columbus Airport consistently receives overwhelmingly negative reviews, citing issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and unprofessional staff. Frequent complaints revolve around a dilapidated building, pests, and a lack of basic amenities. While the price is appealing, the overall experience is severely compromised.
it has that low income apartment feel to it, cars look abandoned in parking lot. trash everywhere in back of hotel. hallways are dark like a dungeon, the place smells of pot and sadness. the guy at the front desk is nice and helpful. the rooms are gross to say the least. you can hear the people in room next door break wind " always a nice touch of class". it looks like someone rented a room and open the window out back to let people in there room. wyndham has no standards for there brands anymore. absolutely nothing super about this location. apparently the owner decides to run pack blower through the parking lot and around the rooms at 9:45 every night. when I confronted him about waking me up he looked clueless. absolute dumb of a hotel. zero courtesy for his guest who are paying customers. he even brought the blower in the hallway. hands down the worst hotel I have ever experienced in my life.
My stay was exceptional. I really enjoyed the local artwork in the room and I had every amenity listed on Booking.com with this hotel. If your looking to stay on the Northside of town in Columbus for a GREAT deal, I highly recommend staying here. No complains, other than the ceiling was peeling in some parts but it didn't bother me at all. The ambiance and comfort made up for that tiny speck of a problem. Just wanted to be transparent. I will be staying here again, and soon! If you do book here make sure to have a $25.00 deposit in case of damages. That wasn't clear when I booked, but management was nice and took time to explain their policies! Thank you Super8 by Wyndham! :)
I traveled to Columbus with my daughter for a friend’s birthday and arrived pretty tired, but Carlos, the hotel manager, greeted us with a smile. It really made a difference and set the tone for our stay. The hotel is in a great location right across from Peachtree Mall and close to restaurants, Lakebottom Park, and the RiverWalk. The room was simple but comfortable, and after long days out, it was exactly what we needed. Thank you, Carlos, for your hospitality!
First of when I made my reservation I was told a price including the fee hold. Upon arrival the fee hold was increased and was told we can change at fee at anytime up to $250 dollars the fee is returned when I do them when I come in at 3 the takes about a week pending the bank. The shower was not hot and breakfast was toast and a small amount of cereal. The front desk clerk had a very nonchalant attitude. Only good point room was clean and stay was quiet. Other than that hurry and return my fee.
This is addressed to the owner. This place is ugly disgrace. The Super 8 sign hasn't been illuminated at night in years. Do you ever think that thats why you can't get customers because there's no ilt sign? Place is always empty. There's rooms that have broken glass windows. The side entrance door had no doorknob. There's no landscaping. Very ugly outdated building and grounds altogether. The owner should be ashamed to allow their employees to work in such a garbage place and they deserve a raise if you aint gonna fix things!
OH my God keep going. This place is a dump. The whole place was dirty. My a/c I'd not function at all. By the time I realized it ,it was to late to deal with it so we slept in a warm room. People going up and down the hall were so noisy we likely would not have gotten much sleep anyway. The back door to the place did not lock so security risk was high. There was no coffee maker in our room and the continental breakfast was dismal at best. No decaf, stale cereal and white toast were the options. The hair blower in the path was cracked at the wall installation and I could see arcs clearly. It was likely not a legal connection being right at the sink without GFC. The whole place is poorly managed. On arrival we were greeted by a small sign saying if you need help call.....I did not have my phone on me so had to go looking. The man I found who was the manager was very nice and helpful but was the ONLY plus in a dreary dumpy motel. Wyndham should be ashamed. Zero across the board.
The room was okay. The room I got had a bad electric socket in the bathroom which ended up blowing the fuse for the room the morning I had to leave, but everything else was okay. Room Service (to clean your room) was very nice and polite. I was on the 3rd floor for no smoking. Breakfast was okay, but for a smaller, cheap hotel, its nothing to complain about.
ZERO STARS!! This place is horrible. HORRIBLE management, horrible customer service, and a horrible building that lead to a horrible stay. The towels and clothes were dirty as well as the sheets which made it very uncomfortable to sleep on. There was never anyone at the front desk but yet they were so eager to hurry up and kick you out at check out time. They are extremely passive aggressive and rude, no sense of urgency at all. They threatened to call the police on my boyfriend and I because we wanted to cancel our stay and sat in the lobby to do so. It is definitely not worth anything over $80 for one night, let alone worth the stay at all. Management is rude. Place is dirty. Zero stars. The man in the photo needs to be
This place is a dump. Room was dirty, no batteries in the TV remote, AC would only put out warm air, there was someones left over garbage in the microwave, and there were vagrants in the parking lot wanting money. You could not pay me to stay here again.
Horrible experience bed was lumpy uncomfortable. No staff in lobby during business hours. Light bulbs missing from Light fixtures. Wifi did not work. I ask for none smoking room but room smelled smokey i checked in for 3 nights but left that next day because it totally wasn't worth the amount being charged. I would pay 20 bucks a night for a room like that
