This is a really difficult place to review accurately. The room rate is definitely unbeatable, and I appreciate that there's a place like this in Columbus for people who need an extended stay and have financial barriers. The day I arrived in Columbus, I went to spend time with my parents, planning to check in that evening. I got 2 phone calls within an hour or so asking if I would be "honoring my reservation." One call is fine; two calls made me feel like they were going to give my room away or charge me more. If I'd been on a plane and hadn't gotten those calls until I landed, I'd have been really nervous. When we did check in, there was a lot of paperwork to sign that seemed excessive in terms of liability, which makes me think that management is used to being burned by guests and needs to protect themselves, and that explained all the phone calls. Once we got to our room, it was in pretty poor shape; the fridge was dirty, the tv remote didn't work, and we saw roaches within minutes of entering the room. I booked a different hotel, thanked the woman at the desk, and left. So here's the thing: the staff truly was kind and respectful to me, and it's clear that they are working with very few resources. Places like this should not only exist, but they should be receiving public funding and resources so that people who are escaping abuse or caring for a loved one or simply find themselves in a tough financial situation have a clean and affordable place to stay. Housing is a human right, and if this hotel were given the maintenance and staffing resources it deserves, they could easily provide guests with the experience they deserve. I truly wish this place and its staff the best and hope that they're provided with more funding to give their guests the clean and safe space that I know they want to.

My husband and I have only been here a few days but the experience has been wonderful! The staff is so incredibly kind and they are PROFESSIONAL. This is such a big step up from the place we stayed previously. That other place lacked professionalism, and I am so glad Suburban Studios has restored my faith in hospitality! The rooms are clean and spacious. The kitchenettes are wonderful! Everything works great! This is truly the best place to stay!!! We love it here! I cannot praise this place enough! It is wonderful here and the bad reviews on Google are all false. Do not believe what you read on there. This place is the best and for the best price too!!!

This place is nice for the price, 385.00 for a week. Can't beat this price no where else. Was here for a family funeral and this staff made my stay here great and comfortable. The manager Dre worked with me on a good rate, Amy was absolutely great and is good at what she does. This will absolutely be the place i stay when I'm in town. They even have full kitchens in the room where you can cook. You can tell they are trying to update this place but my room was great.

Amy is an exceptional front desk employee who consistently provides outstanding customer service. She is friendly, professional, and always greets guests with a warm smile that makes them feel welcome from the moment they arrive. She handles check-ins, guest questions, and unexpected situations with patience, efficiency, and grace. Amy is organized, dependable, and works well under pressure, especially during busy shifts. She communicates effectively with both guests and coworkers and is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure every guest has a positive experience. Her dedication, positive attitude, and strong work ethic make her an invaluable member of the hotel team. I highly recommend Amy and believe she is a tremendous asset to any front desk staff.

I’ve had a wonderful stay at Suburban Studios. Dre and his staff are amazing, hardworking, and they genuinely care about their guests. Every interaction has been positive. They’re always happy to help in whatever way they can. The rooms are clean (thanks to the staff), comfortable, and provide everything you need (wifi, kitchenette, microwave, etc.) Washers and dryers on the first floor. The location is great too. Everything you need is close by (even walking distance). The rates are unbeatable. By far the most affordable rates I’ve seen in Columbus. For frequent travelers or extended stay guests, visit Suburban Studios in Bradley Park and stop by the front desk. Dre and his team will take care of you. Dre and Amy were amazing! The staff is very friendly and made us feel welcomed and safe.I had to stay at this location for a while due to my circumstances ,and they truly went got their way to make sure my children and I were as comfortable as possible... The nightly rates are unbelievable, the location is nice and over all my experience was wonderful. If I ever needed a place to go for any reason, I would definitely come back here. I highly recommend this place. Thank you for everything you guys did for us!

I had some family in town and they chose to stay here. We had the most pleasant experience. The front desk check-in LaQuisha was extremely helpful and accommodating dealing with my family needs. She made dealing with an already difficult situation and time so much easier. She was polite and extreme pleasure to work with. Our room was clean and we enjoyed our stay.

I was in town for 4 days !! In room 219 for my son turning blue!! I also found my room not clean as it should be!!!! There are baby and adult roaches!!! Which represents a problem!!! My son was in room 213 and also has roaches in his room!!! This is disgusting and if I brought any home I will be charging hotel for any fees I may incur!!!! How can you cook in an area that’s unclean and or has bacteria infested roaches crawling on everything!!! I was going to drink my coffee and a roach was on my lid !!!!! Disappointed in my booking and I paid good money for false advertising!!! There wasn’t even a coffee maker in the room!!! And I ran out of TP!!! There is blood possibly from shaving in my restroom on the counter and floor splatters which is definitely a bio hazard!!!! One of many I couldn’t upload a video

I booked this hotel in advance specifically to attend my son’s graduation, after driving 11 hours to get there. Unfortunately, the experience was unacceptable from the moment we entered the room. The room had a strong, overwhelming odor that appeared to be an attempt to mask something with bleach or harsh chemicals, which only made it worse. Even more concerning, there were roaches present throughout the room. The conditions were so unsanitary that we did not sit down, unpack, or stay even briefly. We immediately left the room. When I notified the front desk, I was told there were no other rooms available. Despite the obvious cleanliness and health concerns, I was informed that they would not issue a refund due to their “strict refund policy.” I escalated the issue and spoke with multiple staff members and management, yet received nothing more than the same generic policy response—not even a single apology for the situation. Because of this, after an exhausting 11-hour drive and arriving late, I was forced to search for another hotel last minute and pay for three additional nights elsewhere, on top of the money already paid here for a room that was completely unusable. It is now clear why this property relies so heavily on a “strict refund policy”—once guests actually see the room, I can’t imagine anyone willingly staying under those conditions. Cleanliness and basic customer care appear to be severely lacking. The manager and ownership should be ashamed to operate this way and to treat paying guests with such disregard. I strongly recommend that anyone considering this hotel read the reviews carefully and look elsewhere.

So me and my husband had a horrible time here. The GM is literally stealing from the guest he threatened to jump on me and my husband with him and his staff not only that I had to call the police three times up there The police even realize that he was stealing and told us to call our circuit clerk and issue a warrant out for his arrest. We have legitimate proof that he stole from us. And then when he knew that he was caught it was funny because he lied to the cop and then he lied to me. He claimed I didn't pay for the January the 12th which I had a receipt right there he told the cop that I didn't pay for the 13th but I had a receipt right there. He also opened up a reservation of 44 night reservation this is how he was padding numbers making us double pay for the room also we never use cash but there's cash corrections all over our portfolio which we had to have the police get it's a great hotel and a great location The problem is the reason why it's never full is because the GM is stealing and I promise you many people has had this issue with him. And it's sad that you can't even get anybody to help you corporate no one so when he knew he was caught he actually lied to us I have him on video lieing dead at the area manager in corporate called him but he claims that he never had a corporate office but this is how much of a liar this man is he will do anything to make sure he doesn't get caught I feel sorry for the owner because that hotel could be great without him.
